J.A.M. History
 

J.A.M., a five-piece live band, melodically combines the sounds of a bass guitar, drums, keyboard, guitar, saxophone and the vocal styling’s of Stan the Mann, of the recording group Katzz. With this combination of skilled musicians, the band is able to generate its own unique style of music. The band demonstrates their versatility and creativity by performing various genres, and is best known for putting their signature hallmark on popular hit songs.

 

J.A.M. was formed in 1999, under the vision of Clarence Smith, and since that time, the band  has played in clubs such as Robins Next Six, Street Down Under, Gibbs, Fredrick’s Wine and Dine, Kings and Queens, Rudy’s, Jose’s House of Blues, Sara’s House, Jack’s and Akron Civic Theater. Performances also include shows for Case Western Reserve Dental and Ohio University.

 

J.A.M. is currently working on the new CD entitled Not Yet and is producing the annual Stafford Park Jazz Reunion, which will take place on August 1, 2015.
